Dating Advice for Men: Women Tend to Prefer Men With Athletic Bodies
6 Ways to Improve Your Looks, Without Using Invasive Methods
What you need to know is that you can improve your appearance without going to extreme lengths, such as:
Taking steroids
Getting hair transplants
Bleaching your skin
Altering your appearance with plastic surgery
All of the above are not the answer.
So in this article, I’m going to share 6 things that you can do to NATURALLY improve your appearance.
The key here, is to do this in a balanced way—you don’t need to take this to the extreme. So, let’s dive into the main talking points.
#1 Prioritize Fitness
If you actually look at the studies, they show that women tend (keyword tend) to prefer men with lean, muscular, and athletic bodies.
They are generally not attracted to the huge bodybuilding look. In fact, what you will find is that the massive bodybuilder physique tends to impress men more than it impresses women.
So, if your goal is to become more attractive to women, it is probably in your best interest to build the type of body they prefer.
There are also 2 key benefits to working towards developing an athletic body:
The first benefit is that this body can be built naturally—it doesn't require anabolic steroids.
The second benefit is that you don't need to live in the gym. All you need to attain this physique is 3x full-body workouts per week, alongside daily walks.
Of course, this goes without saying, but you still need to manage your sleep, stress levels, and diet.
The main point I want to emphasize is that if you are able to maintain all of these habits, this physique is very attainable.
#2 Improve Your Posture
Research time and time again has shown that women tend to prefer men who are taller than themselves.
Of course, you can't go from 5 foot 8 to 6 foot 5—that's impossible.
However, what you can do is improve your posture, which will help you stand up straight and appear taller.
Now, just imagine the guy in the image above approaching a woman. Which version looks more attractive: the guy on the left with bad posture, or the guy on the right with good posture?
I'm pretty sure you will agree with me when I say that it is the guy on the right who looks more attractive.
The best way to improve your posture is by strengthening two key muscle groups.
The first muscle group to focus on is your upper back. Strengthening your upper back helps pull your shoulders back, improving your posture.
The best exercises for this are horizontal pulling movements, such as seated rows, Pendlay rows, and inverted rows.
These three exercises effectively target and strengthen the upper back.
The second muscle group you want to strengthen is your core muscles. A strong core supports your spine and helps maintain proper alignment.
For simplicity, I’m going to suggest just one exercise to strengthen your core:
The kettlebell around the world. This is a phenomenal exercise that targets the midsection from all angles—front, back, and side to side.
Now that we've addressed strengthening the upper back and core muscles, it might also be worth doing some stretches.
This is where the dead hang comes in. The dead hang stretches your back, strengthens your shoulders, and decompresses your spine.
This stretch was an absolute game changer for me. One of the first things I noticed was the positive effect it had on my breathing—it just felt much better.
#3 Elevate Your Style
I could honestly do a whole article on style, so for simplicity, I'm going to give you 5 rules.
The first rule is:
Get in shape.
This is actually the best thing you can do for your style because when you're in shape, clothing will naturally just fit you better. Now, contrast this with, say, somebody who is skinny and doesn't lift; what you'll find is that their clothing just hangs off their body.
Why?
Because they haven't got any meat (muscle) on their frame.
The second rule is:
Pay close attention to the fit.
You want clothing that is not too tight, but also not too loose. The best thing you can do here, is when you go shopping, try on multiple sizes and see which compliments your physique the best.
What I personally like to do when I buy pants is perform lunges in them. My rule is: if I can't do a lunge in those pants, that means they're too tight.
The third rule is:
Dress for the occasion.
Great style doesn't mean dressing up to the nines at all times; that's just stupid.
So, for example, if you are just running daily errands, it is perfectly fine to wear a pair of sweatpants, a T-shirt, and a hoodie. You do not need to wear a suit to “project” power at all times.
The fourth rule is:
Stick to neutral colours.
Think along the lines of black, white, navy, grey, charcoal, and so on. The reason you want to do this is that it will make your life a lot easier because all of these colours mix and match well together.
For example, you could wear a pair of grey joggers and pair them with a black T-shirt, and it will look presentable.
The fifth rule is:
Take care of your footwear.
Women will actually judge you on the cleanliness of your shoes. So, for example, let's say you're in a bar and you approach a woman, and your shoes are dirty. She might just turn you down because you've got dirty shoes.
All you have to do every now and then, when they get dirty, is just get a wet cloth and give them a wipe.
#4 Take Care of Your Skin
Go on the internet, and what you will see is people recommending lotions and potions for taking care of your skin.
Yes, these products do help—the keyword here is help.
However, lotions and potions are not the be-all and end-all. The best way to truly take care of your skin is to lead a healthy and active lifestyle.
This entails:
Physical exercise
Eating wholefoods — healthy fats are especially beneficial for the health of your skin.
Getting enough sleep
Managing your stress levels
Enhancing detoxification (regular sauna use + exercise)
By focusing on these 5 key areas, you can support your skin’s health from the inside out.
So yeah, use a face wash and moisturize your face daily, but do not rely solely on these products. Lotions and potions are simply supplements to living a healthy and active lifestyle.
#5 Choose the Right Haircut
One of the benefits of getting a good haircut is that it makes your face look more defined. It effectively cleans up your facial appearance.
To find a haircut that works best for you, start by going online and looking at photos of styles you like.
Download those photos onto your phone.
Then, visit your local barber and show him/her the photos you have downloaded onto your phone.
Let the barber guide you in choosing the haircut that will suit you and your face shape the best.
It's as simple as that.
Before I move on to the next point, I want to talk about receding hairlines.
Because I honestly believe that if you are losing hair, the best thing to do is just shave it off.
You don’t need to get hair transplants or anything like that. If you want examples of 2 older men who still look good, in their older years, look no further than Jason Statham and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
Both of these guys are bald, yet still make it look good.
#6 Prioritize Oral Hygiene
You probably already know this, but sometimes we all need a good reminder:
You need to brush your teeth twice a day.
Additionally, you should scrape your tongue every single time you brush.
Your mouth is a breeding ground for bacteria, which means it requires regular maintenance.
Experts suggest that you get dental check-ups at least twice a year.

Before I wrap up this article, it’s super important that you understand this:
Enhancing your appearance (looks-maxing)—whatever you want to call it—can only take you so far.
At the end of the day, you still need to approach women and be able to flirt.
For example, you could look like Brad Pitt in his prime, but if you can’t approach women or flirt with women, it doesn’t matter how good you look.
Verbal skills and the ability to flirt are just as important, if not more important, than having good looks.
